1. Who We Are

WatchTool is an independent Chrome extension that enhances YouTube's Watch Later playlist. It is NOT affiliated with Google, YouTube, or any third party.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect ZERO personal data. Specifically:

• ❌ We do NOT collect your YouTube username or account info
• ❌ We do NOT collect your email address
• ❌ We do NOT track your YouTube browsing or watch history
• ❌ We do NOT run analytics or tracking pixels
• ❌ We do NOT send data to any server (free or Pro)
• ❌ We do NOT see your Google credentials or session tokens

3. Payment Processing

If you purchase Pro features, payment is handled by LemonSqueezy (third-party processor):

• We receive ONLY a payment confirmation (you upgraded)
• We do NOT see your credit card number
• We do NOT store your email or payment details
• LemonSqueezy's privacy policy governs payment data

4. What Data Stays in Your Browser

Important: All data above stays ONLY on your device. Nothing is ever sent to us.

5. Third-Party Services

WatchTool uses:

• YouTube: We interact with the YouTube page you're already on (no API calls)
• LemonSqueezy: Payment processing only (if you buy Pro)
• NO analytics, NO tracking pixels, NO ad networks

6. YouTube Integration

WatchTool reads and interacts with YouTube's web page exactly like you would manually:

• ✓ Works with videos already in your Watch Later
• ✓ Simulates normal clicking (not automated bot behavior)
• ✓ Does NOT use YouTube's official API
• ✓ Does NOT authenticate with Google on your behalf

7. Children's Privacy

WatchTool is NOT directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If a child has used this extension, contact us immediately.

8. Policy Changes

We may update this policy anytime. Changes will be posted here with a new version number and effective date. Continued use = acceptance of changes.

📋 Terms of Use

1. License Grant

By installing WatchTool, you get a personal, non-commercial license to use it:

• Free: Full core features at no cost, no expiration
• Pro: Advanced features ($3.99/month, $33/year, or $59 lifetime)

2. What You Cannot Do

• ❌ Reverse-engineer or decompile the extension
• ❌ Share or resell Pro licence keys
• ❌ Use the extension to violate YouTube's Terms of Service
• ❌ Use it for automated bulk commercial activity
• ❌ Circumvent licence verification

3. YouTube & Google

WatchTool is independent and NOT affiliated with Google LLC or YouTube LLC. YouTube's Terms of Service (youtube.com/t/terms) still apply to your account.

4. Pro Subscriptions & Refunds

• Monthly/Annual: Non-refundable (except where law requires)
• Lifetime: Final sale — refund only if extension discontinued within 12 months
• Cancellation: Cancel anytime via your LemonSqueezy account. Access continues until billing period ends.

5. Disclaimer

WatchTool is provided "AS IS" without any warranty. We do not guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. Use at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are NOT liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including data loss) from using WatchTool.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms anytime. Changes will be announced via Chrome Web Store updates. Continued use = acceptance.

Chrome requires extensions to declare every permission. Here's what WatchTool uses and why:

How to Install

1. Go to Chrome Web Store and search "WatchTool"
2. Click "Add to Chrome" — review permissions (youtube.com only)
3. Go to youtube.com/playlist?list=WL (your Watch Later)
4. Click the WatchTool icon in your toolbar to start
5. Optional: Pin WatchTool to your toolbar for quick access

Troubleshooting

• Extension stopped working? YouTube updates can break extensions. We fix within 24-48 hours.
• Want to uninstall? Right-click WatchTool icon → "Remove from Chrome". Your YouTube Watch Later is unaffected.
• Issues persist? Try: refresh page (Ctrl+R) → disable other extensions → check Chrome is updated

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Does WatchTool access my Google account?

❌ No. WatchTool does NOT authenticate with Google. It reads the YouTube page you're already logged into—exactly like you would manually.

Will it get my YouTube account banned?

❌ No. WatchTool only clicks YouTube's buttons at normal human speed (2-3 actions/second). It's identical to manual clicking.

Where does my data go?

🔒 Nowhere. All data (settings, video titles, stale detection dates) stays in your browser's local storage. Zero data leaves your device.

Can I use it on multiple devices?

✓ Yes. Your settings sync via chrome.storage.sync across devices on the same Chrome profile. Video metadata stays local per device.

How do I cancel Pro?

Log into your LemonSqueezy account (from your purchase email) → Subscriptions → Cancel. Pro access continues until billing period ends.

Does bulk delete remove videos from YouTube?

✓ Yes—from your Watch Later only. Videos still exist on YouTube. You can re-add them anytime.

What happens if I uninstall?

All WatchTool data (settings, cache, licence key) is deleted. Your YouTube Watch Later is completely unaffected.

Does it work with Brave/Safari/Firefox?

⚠️ Brave might work (disable Shields for YouTube). Safari and Firefox use different extension systems—not supported yet.
