WatchTool is independent and NOT affiliated with Google LLC or YouTube LLC. YouTube's Terms of Service (youtube.com/t/terms) still apply to your account.

πŸ”‘ Permissions Explained

Chrome requires extensions to declare every permission. Here's what WatchTool uses and why:

Permission Why Needed
activeTab To show WatchTool's controls in your active YouTube tab
storage To save your settings and preferences locally
scripting To inject WatchTool's interface into YouTube pages (Chrome MV3)
host: youtube.com To limit WatchTool to YouTube ONLY (most restrictive)
downloads To let you export your Watch Later as a file (Pro feature)

What We Do NOT Request

❌ Browsing history | ❌ Cookies | ❌ Passwords | ❌ Bookmarks | ❌ Camera/Microphone | ❌ Geolocation | ❌ Access to any site except YouTube

If you see a WatchTool version requesting these permissions, it is FAKE. Only install from the official Chrome Web Store.
